Kalpita Patel is a licensed, certified Davis Dyslexia Correction® Facilitator.…

Kalpita's own daughter, although a talented girl, was unable to cope with academics. She had difficulty with reading and writing and did a lot of mirror imaging, too. She was told that she may be “having Dyslexia.” She then wanted to understand what her daughter was going through, to be able to support her. Through her research she came across the Davis® methods which not only spoke about symptoms but also the cause. And he even had a correction program! It made sense, sensitively and holistically. She read 'The Gift of Dyslexia' by Ron Davis; it gave her a complete picture of what goes on, in the world of a dyslexic thinker and how to support them, such that they can become responsible and independent learners.

Kalpita contacted a licensed Davis® Facilitator and felt completely reassured. Her daughter's participation in the intensive week-long reading program produced results beyond her expectations, and she watched her succeed from there.

Her daughter's success with the program, made Kalpita inform the school (Always ready and looking for ways to support LD children) about the Davis® methods given in the book for supporting other children. She was invited by the school to work with the some of the struggling students. Results were very good. She subsequently decided she needed to get trained herself - to empower people with the Davis® learning methods, which are adapted to each client's unique learning style and for achieving academic and personal goals.

Kalpita is aware that there are many intelligent people struggling in similar ways with reading, writing, spelling, organization, social skills and coordination. She is eager to provide options for them and to return self-esteem to children and adults who are having trouble learning.

The intensive Davis Dyslexia Correction Facilitator training is approximately 420+ hours, including practical instruction, field studies, and immersion of facilitation methods during its final POD training weeks. Kalpita had a fantastic opportunity to wrap up her Facilitator training in UK, where she met fellow facilitators from around the world! Here, she mastered many concepts critical to understanding dyslexic clients, including motivation and responsibility.

Kalpita completed the intense Davis training over a two year period, and feels it an honor to bring this effective program to India and work with truly "gifted" individuals.
